MONISTRA (Republic of Macedonia)
     "Monistra" was formed in the year 2002. It's consisted of young Macedonians, nurtured by the Macedonian ethno roots. While playing we give the due respect of the many anonymous artists who succeeded in planting and nurturing the seed, which has come to be recognized in the world as the rich and recognizable Macedonian culture. We do this with the highest pride and dignity. From our various performances we point out the tours in France and Slovenia, but still, the joy is greatest while playing in front of our, Macedonian, audience. We are six people in the band, playing on traditional instruments plus keyboards.
We have just published our first album, composed of traditional songs in ethno style.
